- Car Hire UK
I have been to the UK several times, but this time I am going for pleasure and not business. I am embracing this opportunity to get to know more of the region, so I am considering hiring a car. While there is public transit available there, I like the freedom and privacy of getting where I want without having to follow a particular schedule.
A friend of mine told me that I cannot possibly go to the UK without seeing the rolling hills of Cornwall in England and all of the stunning views provided by the Highlands of Scotland down to the valleys of Wales. Finding the best UK deals has to offer will help me get to these places and spend as much time there as I would like. I look forward to driving in the UK since people say it is much less stressful than travel in other countries including Northern Ireland. I just have to get used to driving on the left hand side of the road.
I have done a little research online after searching for UK car hire, and I am pretty confident I will be able to find a great company to get a car from. From what I can tell, a lot of the car hire companies there are willing to pick you up directly at the airport. What can be more convenient than getting out of a plane and having a ride sitting there waiting on you? There is even an option to pick up a car at one airport and return it at another. I am arriving at Heathrow and leaving from there as well, so this is not something I will be taking advantage of.
I have looked at several comparison websites hoping to find the place that has the most reasonably priced car hire UK citizens would recommend. Having great reviews is very important since I am not experienced with any UK car hire companies. I know that I will have to pay a surcharge because I am only 24 years old. It is the same way in the US, so I am not particularly surprised by this.
Since I have been planning this trip, I have decided that it would be a good idea for me to meet several of my online friends that live in the UK. A group of us want to get together and tour a lot of the country. I am looking to finding out if there is a passenger van available so everyone will have enough room to breathe while we are on long terms drives.
From what I can tell, car hire in the UK is very similar to that of a couple of other places I have been to. As I said before, my main concern is finding a company that has a reasonable price. Since I plan on being gone for a week or two, I know that the vehicle may end up being a bit costly. I don't mind because you only live once, and I plan on having a fun, new experience.
