ID REQUIRED @ BRANCH All drivers require to produce their driving licenses in person to the branch on collection of their vehicles. UK license holders require to produce both parts of their license (photo and paperwork.) In the UK all driving licenses need to be read in English by branch staff. International driving licenses are acceptable. USA and Canadian driving licenses are acceptable. All drivers need to produce address ID such as a passport OR two forms of UK home address such a bank statement, council tax bill, gas bill etc. The payee requires to produce their credit card and ID such as a passport OR two utility bills such as a council tax bill or gas bills, bank statements. Overseas visitors are required to produce passport, driving licence and credit card on arrival at the branch. |

How to calculate the number of days rental Rental days are calculated in 24 hours periods from the time you collect your car. 1 days rental is classed as 24 hours. If, for example, you collected your car @ noon on the 1st of the month and returned it @ noon on the 10th, you would subtract 1 from 10 to give you 9 days rental. The time of collection and return being the same on both days. Please note some hire firms offer a grace period. Please double check when collecting your car at the branch.

Is there a charge for one way rentals? Alamo Rent A Car a one-way fee of 35.00GBP. Europcar charge a one way of 41.12 GBP. Arnold Clark Car Rental charges 15.00 GBP for one-way rentals got groups 1 to 6. Budget Car Rental does not have a one way drop off facility. Enterprise does not have a one-way facility. Please note prices may be subject to change by the hire firms. |

How much does it cost for an additional driver? Alamo Rent a Car charge 7.49 GBP per day per additional driver aged 21 years and over. At present there is a cap of 74.90 GBP per rental. Europcar's charge is 7.49 GBP per additional driver. Arnold Clarks charge is 10.00 GBP in total per rental for each additional driver aged over 23 years. Please note there is a maximum of 3 extra drivers per rental. Budget Car Rental charges 5.87 GBP per day per driver aged 25 years and over. Enterprise first additional driver is free of charge at present. Please note additional costs are subjects to change by the car hire firms. Please check direct with the branch on collection of car. |

Is there an insurance excess? The insurance excess (deductible). The excess refundable deposit is frozen against your card and is void @ branch staff has noted the end of the rental providing no damage. Alamo Car Rental has a standard insurance excess refundable deposit of £600 (B, C, D, E, U, R, W) AND 650.00 GBP (S, I, Q, F, G, P.) The excess can be reduced by payment of Master Cover insurance. This reduces your liability from to 200.00 GBP. OR ZERO. Depending on which policy you purchase at the branch.
Alamo will now ask customers to leave a 250.00 GBP deposit when they collect their vehicles. Please remember that customers are still liable for the full amount of excess. Arnold Clark has 500.00 GBP refundable insurance excess on all vehicles. Enterprise has 600.00 GBP refundable insurance excess on all vehicles. Budget Car Rental has a 500.00 GBP refundable deposit on their car groups from 1-4. Budget Car Rental has a 750.00 GBP refundable deposit on their car groups from 5-10. Optional Cover for the excess or deductible Your options for this are as follows: 1. Can I use my credit card to cover the cost of insurance? Our rates are set to include insurance. We can't offer any discounts on quotes or bookings without insurance. If you wish to decline the excess deposit you would need to speak to a member of staff @ the branch when collecting your vehicle. They will best advice customers on their company's policy. Please ensure that you have checked with your credit card company before travelling that the credit card company accept any decline of an excess cover with regards to car rental in the UK. Please bring along any written guarantee from your credit card company to present to a member of staff @ the branch. Please note if you decline the insurance you will be liable for the whole cost of the hire car. |

How is payment made? After you have received a quote. The cost is broken down as follows: Total cost, prepayment to www.bluewheels.com and the balance on arrival to the hire firm of your booking. Prepayment is taken online by Blue Wheels - www.bluewheels.com. This can be refunded up to 72 hours before rental start date and time if you wish to cancel. The prepayment cannot be repaid after this time. Balance to be paid on arrival to the car hire firm's. Most car hire firms accept personal credit cards and UK held debit cards only. If paying by company credit card then the card holder would require to be present with the driver @ the branch in order to pay for the car. Telephone payments are not accepted. Alamo doesnt accept cash, cheques. Arnold Clark accepts UK Debit Cards and most Credit Cards. No cash or cheques. Budget Car Rental accepts UK Debit Cards and most Credit Cards. No cash or cheques. Where do I collect the car at Heathrow Airport? All car rental firms are based @ Heathrow on Northern Perimeter Road. Customers should make their way outside the terminal building heading towards the bus stands. Each hire firm offer a free shuttle bus from airport directly to the branch after collecting passengers from each terminal. 1,2,3,4,5 The free shuttle bus operates from 0500 until 2300. What make of car will I get? Rental companies will not guarantee you a specific make or model of vehicle. They will only guarantee a vehicle of that specific group. IE Group A You can place a preference for a car type and hopefully the branches can accommodate your request. The branches cant guarantee your request. |

How do I get a quote? On the home page click on the country and then select the location. Select the type of vehicle required. Then click the online quote button. Enter your requirements and the system will automatically generate a quote. You can either save this quote to your email address or you can book online by pressing the book now button. |

How do I book a vehicle? After generating an automatic quote click the reserve button @ the foot of the page. Or after saving a quote initially, click the reserve button on the saved quote. It will speed the process up if you can quote any saved reference number. On line bookings require 48 hours notice. The booking system will not book any cars with less than 24 hours notice. On receiving your booking we will email you back with the reservation number and any other information you will need. This is generally emailed within a few hours of the booking been placed on our system.

Please note that the last shuttle bus return will be half an hour before branch closing time. ARRIVALS Upon arrival, clients should proceed to baggage collection, collect luggage and use the courtesy telephones marked "off airport rentals" to inform the branch of their arrival. Ayr has a free phone number 0800 3895145, which can be used from the public telephone. Courtesy telephones are situated beside baggage reclaim in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Inverness and Glasgow. These are in Domestic Arrivals in Edinburgh and at both baggage reclaims in Glasgow Airport. Please note most branches are at off-airport locations, please make sure clients are made aware of this fact. Edinburgh and Inverness are now within the periphery of the airport. The phone call is to inform the branch of their clients definite arrival and to inform them which bus stance to go to (the airport routinely change these). The shuttle bus should be waiting or if not the office will let clients know when to expect it. FLIGHT NUMBERS In order to allow our branches to maximize the potential of their fleet we must insist that all bookings for airport branches are made with the relevant flight numbers and times at least 48 hours in advance. Should a flight be delayed, branch staff will know to wait for the customer and not assume he has failed to turn up. Staff will not wait on after hours if a flight number is not given. |

Arnold Clark's General Information - page 2 We can no longer accept provisional bookings. Any changes should be reported to our Central Reservations department or Airport branch. DEPARTURES Customers should return to the branch and the shuttle bus will transport them to the airport. Please allocate sufficient time to get to the branch and onto the airport. The branch cannot be held responsible for customers who arrive late for the shuttle bus and miss their check-in. DELAYED FLIGHTS Delayed flights will be met until 12 a.m. If you know in advance of any delays it is imperative that the rental branch is contacted in order that they may confirm arrangements for the collection of your car. If arriving later than this, clients should contact their tour operator and contact the branch the following morning. Completing driver proposal forms allows the staff to bring a vehicle to the airport. The alternative option for very late flights is for the client to make their own way to the hotel and we can arrange uplift from the hotel the following morning. OUT OF HOURS If the flight arrives after our closing time (not just delayed), there will be a charge of £45 to meet the customers and a driver proposal form must be completed. INSURANCE Our Insurance covers · Full repairs to Rental Vehicle (excluding excess) · Third party liability unlimited (including passengers in hired vehicle) · Theft of vehicle and accessories (excluding excess) · Cover would default if the necessary security precautions were not implemented i.e. if the keys were left in the ignition or the radio front was left in the vehicle. · The excess is £500 for all groups, which can be wavered to zero for a payment of £10 per day (£50 per week). Arnold Clark's General Information - page 3 · Driver of the hired vehicle's personal injury or loss of life (his own insurance would have to cover this.) HIRE OR REWARD Our insurance policy can cover clients for hire or reward, which permits companies to employ their own drivers. The exceptions being for 15/17 seat minibuses only vehicles carrying up to 9 persons are covered. This additional service is offered at £15 per day (capped at £75 per week). EXCESS The hirer is responsible for the first £500 of any damage to the vehicle, unless the Excess Waiver has been paid. A credit card number will be taken from the customer at the branch to cover this excess. (AC reserves the right to change these amounts due to unforeseen circumstances). VALET CHARGE If vehicles are returned in an unacceptable condition the branches are within their rights to add a valet charge. BABY SEATS Following changes in September 2006 to current legislation all children under 135cm or less than 12 years of age must be seated in the correct baby seat or booster cushion. These can be rented for £1 per day (maximum £28). Leaflets are available on request showing sizes of car seats. ADDITIONAL DRIVERS Up to 3 extra drivers may be added for a one-off charge of £10 per driver provided they meet all the insurance requirements and have a valid driving licence. INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS · All drivers must hold and produce a full category British Driving Licence for the type of vehicle hired and proof of their address. Arnold Clark's General Information - page 4 · · A licence may have a restriction to the number of seats on a vehicle, which the licence holder is entitled to drive. · For most European countries this is 8 plus driver. · Any penalty points should be notified. · Age restrictions: 23 25 years Groups 1-3 25 75 years Groups 4 and over Over 75 years May hire with Area Manager's approval FUEL We have been asked to supply full tanks to vehicles at our airport locations and we will endeavour to do this where it is possible. (Some of the branches do not have easy access to fuel pumps and it may delay customers receiving their vehicles.) Customers will be advised of the fuel level when they collect the vehicle and they should return it at the same level. If the fuel level is more than that at the time of picking up the vehicle, the customer will be reimbursed or alternatively, if the fuel is short the customer will be charged at current pump prices. DROP OFF AT OTHER BRANCHES There will be a charge of £15 to drop off at another branch (outwith the same town/city). Groups 7+ will be £25 due to constant movement of MPVs. If the vehicle must be left at the airport a charge of £30 will be made to the customer. Both will be charged if it is one way and left at the airport. This is to cover the NCP car parking costs, preferably not within office hours and only available with prior notice. Full instructions will be given to the customer on collection of their vehicle. This should always be done with prior notification to the branch at time of collection. MAP AND BRANCH LOCATIONS Maps and directions are available for most branches, not just airport locations. These can be requested as a PDF file to be emailed, enabling you to forward them on to clients as required. CANCELLATIONS Up to 24 hours notice given no charge. Less than 24 hours notice 1 day's car rental will be charged (price dependent on which car group has been booked). |

When the customer signs the Rental Agreement they do sign to accept liability. We will pass customer details on to the relevant authority that will pursue the claim. ROAD FUND LICENCE - AC does not apply any extra charges. AIRPORT SECURITY CHARGE Due to recent breaches of security all airports have imposed security charges on entry, which unfortunately we will not be able to absorb. Our intention is to keep the costs to a minimum and add £5 to every airport booking. This will be added at the booking stage to the rental costs. This arrangement is already in place for our cash customers and will commence from 1 January 2008 for travel company clients. SAT NAVS AC can offer Satellite Navigation Systems for £5 per day. Please request at time of booking.

Alamo's terms - page 4 Congestion Charge is applicable in Central London, The charge is payable daily Monday to Friday for each day that a vehicle moves within the zone. No charge is payable for vehicles if they are parked for a full day(s) within the zone. The daily charge is GBP 8.00 if paid by midnight on the day of travel and is payable either by phone, on the Internet or at selected retail outlets within the zone. The charge is GBP 10.00 if paid by midnight on the following charging day (next day payment only available online or by phone). There is a fixed penalty system that will issue fines of GBP 100.00 per day for non-payment. Marble Arch, London Bayswater and London Victoria are the only Alamo and National locations that fall into the Central London zone. If the customer picks up a car from Marble Arch between Monday to Friday (07.00-18.00) inclusive, Alamo will offer to add the first day's Congestion Charge fee to the rental agreement for their convenience. The customer will then be responsible for paying the daily charge for all subsequent days (Saturday, Sunday and public holidays are exempt). For a customer picking up a car from Marble Arch on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday no Congestion Charge fee will be added to the rental agreement for that first day. They will then be responsible for paying the fee for all subsequent chargeable days (excluding Saturday, Sunday and public holidays). A smoking ban applies to all vehicles in the National/Alamo fleet. From this date customers will not be permitted to smoke in any National/Alamo vehicle. Fail to adhere to acknowledge the no smoking signs placed in the vehicles could be subject to a £50.00 fixed penalty notice. DVLA Check - £5.43 + tax (paid locally) - Customers are only charged this fee when they do not have their full driving licence. |
