Splunk Helps Gatwick Airport to Compete with Heathrow
Gatwick Airport have introduce a computer intelligence system
which has helped then make drastic improvements to
Flight capacity has been improved along with aircraft
turnaround times using the data analytic information
being provided by Splunk.
Gatwick caters for as many as 925 flights per day and is
forecast to carry 40 million passengers to and from London
It is the busiest single runway airport in the world competing
with airports like San Diego and Frankfurt, as well as its
neighbour London Heathrow.
Business system architect Joe Hardstaff gave an insight into
how Splunk has help them.
He said that it help with systems number plate recognition,
check in, bag drop through security from the departure
lounge on to the plane.
All these systems go through Splunk to give valuable

in 2014 it immediately identified a number of problems.
