Luton Airport Revamp – Company Lands £13M Deal

Whitemountain, a Northern Ireland based construction company,
has won a £13 million deal for the redevelopment of Luton Airport
in London.

The Lisburn based construction company entered into a
contract as part of a £100 investment by Luton Airport to
build a new dual carriageway road on the approach to
the terminal building, transform the area for setting down and
change the position the coach terminal.

London Luton Airport (LLA) catered for 10.5 million passengers
in 2014 and is one of the largest airports in the United Kingdom.

The investment of £100 million is to respond to increase in the
number of passengers travelling and improve the overall
customer experience. Their aim is to increase the airport
capacity from 12 million to 18 million passengers by the year
2026.

Mark Kelly, managing director of Whitemountain, said they were
delighted to be involved in this transformation project of Luton
airport.
