London City Airport Service From Cork, Ireland
CityJet is set to increase from its current 3 to 4 flights per day
on the Cork to London City Airport service.
The chief executive of Cityjet, Pat Byrne, hailed this development
on the inaugural flight from Cork to London City airport.
Mr Byrne said this new service will operate initially 3 flights per
day, Monday to Friday, 1 flight on Saturday and 2 flights on
Sunday. He said it has huge potential and that they have plans
to increase the number of Monday to Friday daily flights.
He went on to say that service brings travellers into London’s
financial district helping to grow investment in the local
economy and give ease of access to leisure and holiday
Simon Coveney, Agricultural Minister, welcomed this new route
Cityjet route to Cork urging travellers to support it.
Cityjet already operate flights from Dublin to London City and this routes has seen growth of 40% in the previous six months.
