Two students from a Welsh University in Aberystwyth have developed an app which could save lives

for travellers who are in what is known as potentially high risk areas.

The app is called GeoRescue and was designed and developed by Elliot Vale and his girlfriend Tia Mountain.

The students are heading to Manchester this week to pitch their idea to the Space Conference and also the Dragons Den team.

The app would emit a GPS signal which gives the person lost an indicator for the rescue services to find them as well as offering maps for people lost on mountains or caught up in avalanches. We wish them well.
