I Am Going To London – Do I Need A Car?

I am touring Europe this Christmas with London as one of the Stop-overs. Do I need to rent a car from a London Branch or can I use public transport?

This is a great question to ask.

The answer not so straight forward. Hiring a car will be terrific at keeping everyone together if you are travelling in a large group and wish to do a lot of sightseeing on your visit.

Most of the major areas are located in the centre of London which is walkable for most people. Otherwise the metro or London underground is a fantastic way around the centre by avoiding the busy traffic.

There are also plenty of tour buses around the capital. This is ideal if you prefer to sit and take lots of photos or just sit and relax and watch the world go by.

Write a list of pros and cons between car hire and public transport in London. Remember and include costs for each person, can each person walk and manage off and on the metro or bus.Car Parking costs, fuel costs and don't forget about the congestion charge.
