Budapest Airport to City
Budapest Airport is a modern airport and is easy to navigate upon arrival. Passengers wishing to collect their rental car from Sixt, Hertz or Avis car hire firms may do so by making their way over to the car rental village from the terminal.
Drivers will then be able to type in their co-ordinates to make their way into either the Pest side or the Budda side of the city. Drivers will also be able to arrange car hire from the UK or Budapest Airport through Bluewheels.
Journey time by car from the airport to the Chain Bridge on the Pest side of the city will be around 30 minutes to 60 minutes. This is dependent on which time of day, you will be travelling from the terminal.
The M4 is the main route into either the Budda hilly side or Pest which is the tourist, flatter side of the city. An alternative route would be the M0.
All roads leading to and from the city from the airport are busy and congested. Advice would be to add extra time onto your journey to allow for any hold ups along the way as their is only one main road to reach the terminal.
